Liver Cancer Overview
Cancer that develops in the liver is called primary liver cancer. Metastases often form in the liver, when cancers from other regions of the body spread to this level.
Hepatic cancer occurs in the cells of the liver tissue. The liver is an organ located in the upper right abdominal region, below the diaphragm, a region called the right hippocampus. It has many functions, such as storing nutrients in food, supporting digestion or removing toxins from the body.
